Virtue of the Month:

EMPATHY

November Virtue:

Conscience

We will be celebrating the Virtue of EMPATHY on Nov. 2 @ 10:15 a.m.

Please join us in our gymnasium

Father of Mercy, forgive my failings, keep me in Your Grace, and lead me in the way of salvation. Give me strength in serving

You as a follower of Christ. May the Eucharist bring me Your Forgiveness and give me freedom to serve You all my life. May it help me to remain faithful and give me the grace I need in Your service. May it teach me the way to eternal life. AMEN

PLEASE do not park in the Kiss’N’Ride lane . If you need to leave your vehicle for any reason, please find a parking spot at the side of the building.

(Parking Lot). This pertains to either the morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up. NPU officers will be monitoring this area and ticketing those who are not following bylaws pertaining to vehicle traffic in school zones.

Children’s safety is a priority at all times while on school property.

Thank you for your assistance.

Health and Safety Reminders:

Please be reminded that school yard supervision does not start until 8:50 a.m. Please do not drop off your child(ren) in the schoolyard yard before that time. Dismissal of all grade levels is 3:30 p.m.

(students will be dismissed through the doors to the school yard. Only bus students should be exiting through the front doors.)

Please be reminded that our front doors are always locked and the only way to gain access is by pressing the button on the brown panel next to the door. The door will then unlock so that you may gain entry. As posted on the door, use caution as the door opens automatically under its’ own power.

A reminder to always stop in at the office to sign out your child or to receive a visitor’s pass if visiting another area of the school.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Reminders and Resources: Cold and Flu Season

As cold and flu season approaches, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District

School Board continues to be vigilant in ensuring that our schools are clean and that our school communities are educated regarding good hand hygiene and cough etiquette. These practices are promoted on an ongoing basis, but as the prevalence of colds and flu increases, our board increases the cleaning of contact surfaces, as well as reminds schools to review cold and flu prevention with students and staff. Many resources are utilized from our regional health units.

A reminder, as well, that communicable diseases can be contracted in public places throughout the year. For example, cold-related viruses, such as Enterovirus, are transferred from person to person through hand contact. Cold and flu viruses typically peak from December through

February, but can start as early as October.

Flu Clinics

Also available on the Peel Health website, are the schedules of local Flu Clinics.
