Digestion Is the process by which food is broken down so it can be used by the body. After 4 hours, stomach muscles push food into the small intestine. Small Intestine is a coiled tube in which the greatest amount of digestion & absorption takes place. The other organs that helps in digestion are Pancreas, Liver, Gallbladder. Pancreas: is a gland that produces digestive enzymes and chemicals that control blood sugar levels. Liver: produces and releases bile to help break down fats, maintain blood sugar levels and filter poisonous waste. Gallbladder: is an organ that stores bile.
