Week of: October 27th
Math: Please sign and return the Chapter 2 Math Test. It is in
their folders today. We will begin Chapter 3 this Monday. This
Chapter begins multiplication. We will start slow with skip
counting and building arrays.
Language Arts: The next story we are reading is called, Balto,
the Dog Who Saved Nome. We will review word relationships
such as synonyms, antonyms, and homophones. In writing we
are wrapping up our narratives. Everyone did a great job with
our first published writing piece. Be sure to stop by and read
them when you come for conferences.
Science: This week we will be looking at water and how it
interacts with hummus, sand, and gravel. We will also make
water wheels this week.
*Make sure you are working on your Water Project and you
are ready for your presentation November 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th
Extra: Our class had a great time at the Hoopalooza today.
Everyone did their best and demonstrated good
sportsmanship and effort. I was proud of all their hoop skills!
