Stream Restoration - William R. Davie Park
This summer, Storm Water
Services will finish repairing the
bed and banks of a small stream
in William R. Davie Park in south
Charlotte.
Large amounts of
storm water runoff had eroded
the stream banks and damaged
the
surrounding
floodplain.
Construction is completed and
plants will be added to the
restored banks this fall.
This project was paid for by
Mecklenburg County Solid Waste
Services to fulfill a wetlands
permit requirement related to a
local landfill.
