"No person in the United States, shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." MAJOR COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS Conduct a self-evaluation (identify and modify areas of disparity, take remedial steps and affirmative action for correction of discrimination). Develop plans for the conduct of compliance reviews and submission of compliance reports. Develop plans and procedures for removal and elimination of sex-stereotype language, illustrations, pictures, from all present and future publications, educational materials, promotional literature, forms, announcements, brochures, and other documents. Develop procedures to achieve compliance with cooperating agencies and organizations. Adopt and publish a compliant procedure. Develop and implement plans for dissemination of policy regarding Title IX (Public Notification Plan). Develop procedures for collection and use of sex-based data for evaluation purposes.
