Project O
an experiment in movement theatre and gallery art
It's Not a Box Theatre presents an immersive three-part movement performance, inviting the
audience into the space to engage it as both stage and gallery art. Devised by local theatre artists
Amberlin Hsu, Torien Cafferata, and Kelsey Benson, the three performers will individually lead a
willing audience through birth, life, and death, each interpreted in vastly different forms and themes,
from Taiwanese poetry to artificial life.
Kelsey Benson is delighted to
be doing another movement
project alongside these two
great and inspiring artists.
Recent projects include Fringe
Fest 2015 Street Theatre and
Spilling Family Secrets (Stage
Managing), Live Five
Independent Theatre Reasons to
be Pretty (Stage Managing), and
Remaining Silence. Kelsey is
returning to the U of S Drama
Dept this fall to complete her
Acting BFA.
Torien Cafferata is an actor,
writer, and aspiring director in
his final year of his Acting BFA
at the U of S Drama Dept.
Recent acting credits: Tightrope
(Embrace Theatre), Letters from
the Apocalypse (U of S OneActs Festival), Our Country's
Good (Greystone Theatre), and
Run For Your Wife (Magdelene
Theatre).
Amberlin Hsu, both a designer
and movement actor, is a former
dance student from the National
Taiwan University of Arts and a
current 4th-year design student
in the Drama Dept at the
University of Saskatchewan.
