Chair Response to Rejoinder
Edinboro University
January 6, 2013
The BOE team has reviewed the Edinboro University rejoinder and appreciates the additional
information provided by the institution.
Standard 1 – no response
Standard 2
Areas for improvement
1.
The team did not find evidence in the IR, exhibits or in interviews, how specific input from
internal and external sources was/had been solicited from external sources. As the EPAC
and PDS Steering Committees have been more recently structured, there are plans for more
regular discussion and feedback about the assessment system. There is evidence that this
occurred in Fall 2013 and will continue to occur in the future.
2. The Program Analysis Reports (Exhibit 2.2) vary in format and extent of information
provided on data analysis and how this was linked to program changes. SPA Reports(2.1)
tended to report changes in the program but did not outline the anlaysis that led to the
decision for the change.
Exhibit 2.3 provides notes of a unit meeting held in September 2013 to review and analyze
data across the unit. There are plans in place to continue this annually and a template has
been designed for documenting these findings.
