You will need a Windows OS, or Mac OS 10 computer with a USB port. o
You will need to install the software prior to the examination. o
You will need to practice with the software. o
USB drives will be provided to you before the exam. o
The software does not work with foreign based computers. (Note: language must be U.S.
English) o
You cannot have a Virtual Machine installed on your computer.

The following operating systems are supported by the Electronic Bluebook
Software: Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows
8, Mac OS 10.6, Mac OS 10.7, and Mac OS
10.8. o
Students are advised NOT to upgrade to
Mac 10.9 Mavericks or Windows 8.1
until
Electronic Bluebook announces it will support these operating systems.
If you have technical issues : o
Do not panic . o Please reboot your computer by holding down the power button and shutting your computer down completely. o If you feel confident about your computer after the reboot. Open Electronic Bluebook and start a new exam. You will be notified that your last exam was closed improperly and asked if you want to continue. Choose ‘Yes’ and continue from the last save (Note: EBB saves itself every 1 minute ).
If you have technical issues : o
If you have any concerns, please do not continue to use the software. Simply continue your exam where you left off hand writing in a bluebook. After your exam is over, turn in both your flash drive and your bluebook . o Immediately after your exam, proceed to student services and inform them that you had an issue with your exam. Please provide them with your test ID number, and contact information including phone number where you can be reached. Do not discuss it with the faculty member .

Information Technology will then contact you if your laptop is needed. o Under no circumstances, are you to leave your exam room for any reason related to Electronic
Bluebook . You are not allotted any additional time for your exam for technical issues . o
Please do not reboot your computer more than once , and do not seek out any LIT staff during your exam .

If you feel for any reason uncomfortable or unfamiliar with the software, your laptop, or these policies, please take the traditional hand-written exam. All students may take e-exams if they choose to do so and abide by these guidelines. o

We cannot stress enough how important it is to practice with the software. LIT cannot account for how your machine will work with the software so it is essential that you practice.
