Work Experience :
IBM India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, India
Designation – German Language Translator & Interpreter
Duration – More than 2 Years (February 2012 till date)
In IBM (Payroll – Translation Central) I got an opportunity to work in a very newly started project
Daimler HR_AMS to support their payroll-related applications. In the framework of language
support I have to translate predominantly tickets & emails from German to English and vice-versa.
Where required, I was also given some critical Change Requests, AID documents etc. for
translation.
In order to resolve some complex & urgent issues, my interpretation skills played a major role in
this project. In a pilot training session I was chosen to interpret between Indian developers & their
German counterpart from Daimler, which triggered a huge client satisfaction & helped the project to
gain complete confidence of Daimler; from there on such training sessions started taking place
every month or fortnightly.

From August 2010 till February 2011 I worked in Cognizant as German language translator. As a
part of the translators pool I had been allocated to various translation projects ranging from
Telecom, non-Telecom, SAP projects to Finance, Admin, Request for proposal sort of documents.
Being a team player I provided all possible assistance in creating & maintaining project-specific
glossaries and aligning some .doc files in SDL Trados 2009.
Symantec Corporation, Pune, India
Designation – Global Support Representative (German Language Interpreter)
Duration – 9 months (December 2008 till August 2009)
In my tenure from Dec 2008 till Aug 2009 with Symantec (Payroll - Team Lease Pvt. Ltd.) my job
was consisting of Front-end Support in German & English as well as Technical Interpretation
between customer and technical expert. As a front-end representative I had to verify support
details, company details and contact details of the customer and then transfer the case to the
appropriate technical expert’s queue. If the customer’s query is one of the FAQs, I had to resolve it
at the first instance.
As an interpreter I had to conference the call between German-speaking customer and Englishspeaking technical expert. In this scenario, on customer’s request, I had to contact English
speaking technical expert to help the customer in troubleshooting their issues. In the context of
consecutive interpretation I had to translate customer’s saying and communicate that to the
technical expert and then do it vice - versa.
