Know and apply the correct form of ser and the correct forms of adjectives to tell why or why not you or I
like or dislike something by oral and written practice.

Know and use indirect object pronouns with correct forms of gustar and nouns to say what other people
like/ dislike by oral and written practice.

Know and use definite articles correctly by using el, la, los and las with nouns in written and oral
sentences.

Know and use indefinite articles correctly by using un, una, unos, and unas in written and oral sentences.

Know and apply the different uses of the preposition de by oral and written practice.

Know and apply gustar with infinitives to say what one likes to do and why or why not by oral and written
practice.

Know and apply different aspects about the day such as telling the day, date, weather, season, time, and
whose birthday it is by oral presentation and audience critique.

Participate culturally by memorizing and reciting songs about South American countries and their capitals
and singing other folk song.

Know location of South American countries by pointing to map while singing about each country and its
capital.
